Feeling My Wings

I spent most of last night in the studio working on a 36 x 36 collage. I made a small dent in it but am so into it. I don't want to work today except on that piece.
Sometimes I find that spending a lot of time working on collages makes me feel like I'm tripping on acid the next day. I have this heightened attention to detail and every thing seems so much more intense (in a good way). I suppose that's why my drug explorations didn't go too far. In college, I felt like this a lot anyway.
So, I am totally feeling my wings* today. I don't want to waste it in my cube but I really need to be on a conference call I'm representing my boss on at 3. I'm considering going home after lunch and taking the call form the studio.
I have a lot of work to do, but I know I won't be any more productive here than I will be there. Plus, I can easily tear paper while talking...
Hey, you can justify just about anything. [eg]
* "Feeling My/Your Wings" is a phrase I use for the times you feel like you're not merely mortal or earth bound. You feel like someone's sprinkled you with fairy dust and you could fly or do anything. It's like a more fabulous form of giddy, I guess. I have no idea where I go the phrase from.
