Blanched Whole Almonds - the Other Holy Grail

Who knew it would be impossible to find whole blanched almonds? I've shelved making the "Lady's fingers" cookies because I can't find the blanched whole almonds and am already to irritated about it to try it with regular ones and have it not work.

And yes, this is day 3 of my waking at 3:30 in the morning. The doc gave me a prescription for antibiotics yesterday but said I would probably be OK without them if I wanted to wait it out (I hate taking medicine). I'm caving and will start them today.

Not much else to say. I'm overtired and sort of blank, which can be nice.

I have decided that I would definitely be "Auntie Biotics" if I didn't already have a Halloween costume.
