Motorboat, motorboat...
Apr. 16th, 2002 12:11 amThe manifold (or the piece right below it) on my car went. again. I think this is an omen to get a "new" car. My car is from the early eighties and is sort of limping a long at this point. the doors don't lock. It leaks from the wind shield when it rains hard. The lights flicker when it rains hard.
I love this car. I'm not one ot give things up after I've had them a while (I'm STILL trying ot part with the chair I picked up off the curb in college - 11 years ago). But I'm also reticent ot be driving a car that needs to go under the knife twice in a month and a half. Things are starting to break that cost money to fix.
Anyway, Megan and I drive the motorboat home form the city after seeing Kids in the Hall. They were brilliant. i haven't laughed like that in ages. I totally forgot myself. I am always amazed at how talented and enthralled they are live. Even they are having a good time.
I better hit the hay. I called out sick mid day today and am going to stay out tomorrow as well. Now I'll have to drag myself up to my Dad to swap cars too.
Glassblowing is going well, but slowly. i'm still scared of the pulling furnace and not picking it up quickly. I sometimes think my lack of skill is why i enjoy it so much. :-)
