Where it leads you

The Wedding last night was excellent. They had the cocktail hour before the ceremony so everyone had a chance to make it form work/etc. That was really thoughtful and no one missed the ceremony.
The ceremony was unconventional and brief. They exchanged vows in a gazebo after their friends and family read little selected passages. The birds sang in the trees nestled around the gazebo and edging the big lawn as the sunset behind them. It was beautiful and their vows were sweet and funny and totally them. Both started with their meeting in 6th grade. Jon's was kind of serious, Jerry's wasn't. Perfect.
The reception was wild. Most of the straight guests didn't stay late but those who did had a blast.
At one point I observed to my friend Perk that I had never seen a wedding dance floor with more men than women on it. He cracked that there was definitely more "women" and smirked. You have to love a smart ass in a pink shirt.
Mr Bear and I slow danced and I won the centerpiece - a huge ring of roses, sweet peas and hydrangea with 3 big candles in the middle. They really had the best wedding flowers.
After the reception, a bunch of us crashed at the groom's house. Gods love them, they spent their Wedding Night with 30 drunken idiots screaming and giggling on air mattresses scattered in every room. My theory of a pet underground network was confirmed when their dog walked past 10 people to wake me up when she to go out this morning. I must smell like a sap. lol
I had a wonderful time and am so glad I got to share the day with them. Jon and Jerry are sweet and fabulous men. May they always be as happy as they were last night.
Tonight is Mr Bear's concert. I'm wiped, but feeling better after a nap. We got home about 10 and I couldn't sleep. Mr Bear hit the hay and I mulched the back yard ans pruned/dead headed the roses. He's at rehearsal and I'm about to hit the shower.
After last night I am a little more open to a wedding reception than I was before. A church wedding, not so much, but maybe this will open Mr Bear up to not having one. We'll see. Neither of us has really asked the other but we talk about it a lot lately. So much for romance! LOL
Well the house is vacuumed and aired out. The dogs are fed and walked. Laundry's done. Spent 20 minutes in the hammock (Yeah hammock!). Time to get ready.
Oh yea, one more thing to note: I'm not counting points last night or today and the only really bad food (a side from shrimp wrapped in bacon) I am compelled to eat are Scooby Do Pop Tarts. What's up with that?
Things I Am Grateful For
Slow dancing with Mr Bear to "At Last"
Shrimp wrapped in bacon
Lesbians dancing and singing to "It's Raining Men"
Jon and Jerry having such a wonderful day for their wedding and the displays of love by their friends and family
Mr Bear's quote "It was really that last Red Headed Slut that did Dave in." (and it was)
Having Enough
Pride - I definitely want to be a June Bride. It's our month!
Things I Want Today

Good Pizza
My allergies to calm down
Sometime in the hammock tomorrow and the studio tomorrow night
The blackspot to ease up on the roses.
