This film is beautiful looking and touching. The score is startlingly familiar and I found I didn't mind that every word was sung in French. Granted, I like opera, but it's a different animal when on film. Rent this DVD. Now.
It's funny how a film can really hit me in one way or another but I still need time before I can be coherent about it. If you want real information about it, see the IMD entry for it.
I had a fabulous bath, caught up on some magazines and watched "The Umbrellas of Cherbourg" tonight while Mr Bear is at Chorus practice. It's been a good and relaxing night - much appreciated after the previous week.
I'm going to tear up a few more magazines and hit the hay.
