Just for the record: Freecycle

I suck at giving directions. I don't know street names - even in places I lived for years I know roads by landmarks and whose house they are near. Megan suffers through my suggestions of places to visit in LA with directions like "it's on the same street at Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles in Hollywood, only more towards the valley side." And "the part of La Brea that has all the short and wide Donna Reed houses..."

I find it really irritating when people harass me for directions when responding to a posting on Freecycle. You have my address and yours - mapquest it.

Why can't people just be grateful that they're getting something free from an idiot?

Also - if I respond to you that someone else is picking it up but I'll keep your info in case they don't show up - don't whine about how you really want whatever the Hell it is. There's probably someone else in line behind you that isn't going to annoy me with multiple emails about how you need a lamp to finish the living room before your graduation party. Serve alcohol - no one will notice.

...AND.. I am not taking pictures of this stuff. If I had the time to take pictures of it I would have posted it with the initial offer. Again, this is web site of free stuff. It isn't a mail order catalog.

But I will be mad glad to get this stuff out of the garage. :-)
