Baking cookies last night for the party it occurred to me that I am throwing the Halloween/Birthday party I always wanted as a kid. That's kind of cool. :-)
I've been crazed lately with studying and trying to keep up with the random tasks that usually fill my days between baking, going out to dinner and food shopping.
Saturday I helped my youngest sister move. IT wasn't bad, but I had a run in of sorts with her husband. He's an ass. We had been moving for 3 hours before he showed up and started berating my sister in front of a house full of people. I just made it clear that that sort of thing was ?not acceptable. [eg] I didn't hit him, yell or threaten him so I'm pretty pleased with myself. It's all about tone, a cuttitng look and polite words. Who says you don't learn anything from period dramas?
Saturday night Mr Bear and I went to a dinner party for this guy Mike's birthday and then we all went to Marie's Crisis to sing show tunes. We stayed out until 4AM - because I wanted to. I think this is the first time Mr Bear has wanted to go home first. We stayed another hour after he wanted to go. I was having such a great time.
Sunday I slept until noon, another rarity and spent the afternoon studying for my lab midterm lecture quiz. We went food shopping (Mr Bear went with me so our bill was HUGE. He's the impulse shopper every store dreams about. LOL).
I baked more cookies and watched "Desperate Housewives". Later, Mr Bear ran out to get me butter (I thought we had unsalted - it's probably buried in the freezer) and dented his car. I feel really bad for him - he loves that car. He backed in to something making a 3 point turn out of a dead exit in the parking lot. Poor guy.
OK, time to get back to work.
