Mr Bear leaves for Hawaii Saturday for work meetings. I honestly wasn't jealous before but the 6 inches predicted for tomorrow is making me a bitter little bear.

I'm tired for no real reason - the weather I think as it's two days in a row. Maybe a little time in the tanning booth is in order? Yes, I think that just may do the trick.

The traffic today was insane, which enabled me to get through both Kylie's new album, "Slow", and a little bit of Spice Girls "Spice". I bought them while waiting for my haircut the other day. I still need a new copy of "Spiceworld" but it's hard to come by. It's odd how fickle music stores are. {shrug]

I don't mind the morning commute as it gives me time to listen to music. I resent the evening commute because it takes time away from me getting things done at home. Basically, I only want a long commute in one direction - can someone arrange that for me? Of course all bets are off on liking either once the shore traffic starts...

OK, time for more power coding.

What is it about Steppenwolf that makes you feel like it's late July and your at a great picnic?

I got a "charter subscription" to Cargo magazine. It's a men's magazine - sort of a cross between details and consumer reports. I got a charter subscription because I subscribe to a lot of magazines so I get a lot of new magazine offers.

I'm flipping through the first issue and it's OK. It's a little heavy on the heterosexual posturing, but I'm used to rolling my eyes at that. I figure I'll wait and see if they either come out or stop the dick waving.

Then I come across an article titled "Honey Does This Embroidered Shirt Make Me Look Gay?". That pretty much did it for me.

My email to Customer Service )

It's not incredibly articulate, but really what else can you say?

I didn't have the heart to point out that half their models look like they're on their way to brunch in Chelsea. Or that straight men by these magazines because they want to look more like gay men.

Yeah, I'm stereotyping both sides but it's easy when you're pissed off. I'd riot, but there aren't any straight stores worth trashing that I don't already shop at...
