Spring Puttering
Feb. 28th, 2004 08:50 pmIt was gorgeous out today. I actually was only outside for 20 minutes batches (playing/walking the dogs). I got an insane amount of bill paying and not so much house keeping done.
I also caught up a little on magazines, which is my biggest guilty pleasure, while eating lunch - hummus on toasted sourdough bread with chicken noodle soup. Oh, was it good!
Mr Bear went to see "Aida" with an old friend from school tonight. I'm about to hop in the shower and go meet him. Mr Bear's brother was out after 4 too, so I add a nice day at home to myself. I needed that. :-)
Mr Bear is beat from traveling and wants to sit home and watch movies tomorrow. I may go up to my Dad's to visit. He invited me a little earlier today and I really haven't seen them in ages. I don't think I've been at their house since August.
It's hard to just stop in and hang out now that they're an hour and a half away. I feel like I'm a bad son for not being around enough. I know they don't hold it against me and understand but I still feel bad. I love my Dad and miss hanging ut with him more.
When I lived in my apartment my Dad and Step Mom used to stop in a couple times a month. It was easy for me to go up on Sundays as well (it was half an hour away). It weird how life changes and you don't see it happening.
Anyway, It's into the shower for me. Hopefully, I'll be able to get a slice of pizza at that place on Hudson and Christopher (it's good). I saved my dinner 'points" for it. ;-)
I'll write more about painting the bedroom later I guess. It's chocolate brown. I hated it at first but am really growing to like it. One wall is still not painted and we may paint it and the hallway off of it a different color.
