Unemployment seems to be corrected, but I'm waiting to see my check come before I get too relieved.
I touched up the dinning room paint this morning as it's a little low in places and I was afraid the crown molding wouldn't cover all the exposed wall. I measured and found it wouldn't. I'm glad I thought about it before hand - it would have sucked to try and do it after the molding was up. I hate to paint (rooms).
On my errands yesterday I picked up a new runner for the kitchen and a curtain for over the kitchen window. We also need new seat cushions, but the ones I got are too small. It's funny how a simple change in 3 accessories can reinvent a room. I know, I'm way gay.
The runner has roosters on it, which has involved into an unintended them in the house. We had a rooster cookie jar on top of the kitchen cabinets and Doug and Mr Bear bought a metal rooster for the living room. Then I broke the umbrella stand and the only decent one I found (after 6 months of looking) had a rooster on it. We got another rooster cookie jar for Christmas so the runner makes it a theme.
We're "The House of Cocks". I'm a little sad because I lost the right to say "Have you seen Mr. Bear's Big Gay Cock" and point to the rooster in the living room.
I'm taking the plastic off the dinning room chairs and then taking the afternoon off. School starts in 11 days and I'll need all the reserved "relaxation" I can muster a month or so into it. ;-)
Actually, I am going to think about and start our "Save the Date" for Halloween and a Half. I made a few calls this morning to avoid any serious overlaps/double booking (a wedding celebration was announced as "April/May" a few months ago but were cool). I'm waffling on tipping my hand with the graphics this early.
