Christmas 6
My old apartment was actually a store and my only window (save the one in the back door) was a plate glass extravaganza with a "window seat" in front of it which was really the window display area. At Christmas, I would swag lighted garland around it with a gold Cherub in the center swag. One Christmas, my then boyfriend, Fletcher, and I were hanging out and my cousin's daughter, Brianna, came down to hang out with us. My window seat looked like a stage with this twinkling proscenium, so we spent an afternoon singing into candy canes and dancing on the window seat. Brianna is a teen ager now, but I love this memory of her as this innocent little girl belting out Christmas songs and the Spice Girls.
