Ed Joins the Team
Oct. 7th, 2002 12:26 pmI'm hosting this call about owning the content of my website. Seems like no one wants to do much but complain. Oh well.
One person left the company (oops). Oh well, what can you do? We're re scheduling again.
Gregg and I went to IKEA last night after the Christening to get a cabinet for my kitchen. I found these mirrored one (actually medicine cabinets) but they didn't have them in stock. Poor guy. I dragged him all the way down there and didn't get anything. He did get a lamp...
He wants a chair at my house (I only have one) and I think that's fair but I don't want one that I'm not all about if I have to pay for it. If someone GAVE me an old one, I'd probably be OK with it.
I'm tired of making due with things. I don't want to buy another thing that's just "OK", if I don't love it I'll wait to get one I do.
I'm Still taken with the Starck chair (http://www.dwr.com/productdetail.cfm?id=1766). I'm probably going to get this one. It's actually comfortable but needs a throw pillow for the back. It's also damn near indestructible and that's a BIG plus in my house. :-) I know it comes in red and some other bright co,ors. I think I'm going to go with red and buy myself one for my birthday.
Winkler brought me a fish! His name is "Ed". He's really tiny. They gave the Customer Care reps goldfish for customer care appreciation day. I asked Carrie to get me one if someone was getting rid of theirs. A lot of people won't want them. Another batch will ignore them at their desk. It's like a little fish genocide. I feel rather sadly about it. All these little lives being put out for whimsy. I'm taking up whatever fish I hear of as being unwanted and will get one larger tank with a filter for them. I like fish. I miss Jim and it'd be nice to have a companion at work.
Today starts my "hour of studio time a day" campaign. I'm going to do some creative stuff for at least an hour each day. I make time for a thousand other things - why not to be creative? :-)
My Apple Peeler thing form Pampered Chef came! I can't wait to bring in an apple to try it tomorrow. ;-)
